savvy school printables blog

Have you ever looked around your classroom and realized your students have grown up, but the resources available for them have not?

That's exactly why things are changing around here. Welcome to Savvy School Printables (and Posters!)

For years, this website has been dedicated to helping elementary teachers create engaging classrooms and meaningful learning experiences. It has been an incredible journey, and I'm so thankful for every teacher who has been part of it.

But as I listened to teachers, one message kept coming up.

"What about middle school?"
"What about high school?"
"We need help too!"

You're absolutely right.

Teaching older students with significant cognitive disabilities comes with its own challenges. Functional academics, life skills, age respectful materials, transition planning, vocational activities, and keeping teenagers engaged all require a different approach.

So, we're growing right along with students.

You'll start seeing more resources designed specifically for middle and high school special education classrooms. Expect practical ideas, lesson planning tips, classroom organization strategies, adapted curriculum, science activities, reading comprehension resources, and plenty of encouragement from someone who understands that some days require sweet tea, a stop at Dunkin', and maybe even a chocolate cake donut before first period.

Most of all, this will continue to be a place where teachers help teachers.

I'm so excited you're here for this next chapter. I think we're going to build something pretty amazing together.
